Most of the groups listed here are for married men who are questioning their sexuality and/or considering coming out. Gay Dad groups are included because they are likely to contain men who have been in straight marriages.

Groups that welcome all bi and gay men and groups for both bi men and bi women are not listed. These groups are common and can usually be found at local LGBTQ centers. You can search for a center near you HERE.

Please direct all questions about a particular group to the listed contact. Questions posted here as comments will be deleted.

Calgary Gay Fathers (Calgary)
The Calgary Gay Fathers are an informal community formed to support questioning, bisexual, and gay fathers.  The group has a wealth of experience in combining a gay identity with the role of father.  The group provides a safe, non-judgmental forum to work through these issues.  The group has provided many men with their first significant exposure to the GLBT community, forming a keystone in a new sense of identity.  The group holds informal meetings twice a month, with individual members in contact in between.  Membership is free and confidential.  Email contact: and website.  The group also has an active Facebook page.

Discreet gay and bi men (DGBM) (North York)
This is a group for gay and bi-men who for whatever reason prefer to be discreet.  This can be because you are closeted or just because you do not belong to the gay "main-stream".  We host a variety of events catering to our specific need for discretion. Discreet gay and bi men is also a support group for men who would like to meet other discreet gay and bi men, share experiences, discuss issues that matter to us and make new friends.  We will put forth every effort to make sure that every member feels safe and comfortable to share thoughts, feelings and experiences.  All information shared is strictly confidential.  Once you take that first step, the experience may be very worthwhile.  For additional information, visit their website.
